14 DAY TRIAL // The first-ever edition of the iHeartRadio Awards took place the other night, with Ariana Grande included among the live performers. She chose a medley of “The Way” and “Problem,” and, while she definitely slayed it vocally, there was something about the dance routine that seemed to confuse, amuse and bore some of the celebrity attendees.
First things first: below is a video with the performance in full. The camera focuses on Ariana until halfway through the song, when the dance break comes in. This is when Rihanna who, until that moment, had watched the performance dancing in her seat, is seen turning her face from the show to giggle behind her hand.
As the video shows, she wasn’t the only one who found the performance a bit off. Country singers Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton were also caught off guard by the camera: Blake with a most confused look on his face, while Luke was displaying the biggest “Just No” expression I have ever seen.
As the photo above went viral, Luke took to Twitter to try to explain what happened, but he actually came across as if he was dissing Ariana and thus confirming what people had been saying, that he had hated the gig.
“it was awesome. The dancers were killin it,” he wrote. Perhaps realizing he was only digging himself deeper into trouble, he followed that up with “Wow me concentrating doesn't look good.”
