With all the baby drama going on right now, rapper Ludacris is also facing just-as-serious allegations of plagiarism, with a soul singer suing him for pretty much ripping him off and passing his song for his own.

Above is the track that was allegedly ripped off on Ludacris’ 2010 release “Be with You,” which also features David Banner and Marsha Ambrosius.

It came out in 1979, is performed by Tyrone Davis, and it’s called “Be with Me.” However, the lawsuit alleges that the two songs have more in common than just the name: specifically, the melody.

TMZ obtained the legal documents and is also providing the two samples below. It’s up for you to decide (until a court does, that is) whether there’s any similarity between them.

“The music producer and publisher claim Luda flagrantly ripped them off with his 2010 tune. Truth be told, Luda's not the main singer on ‘Be With You.’ The song features David Banner and Marsha Ambrosius. Nonetheless, all 3 are being sued, plus many, many more,” the report mentions.

As of now, a publicist for Ludacris has not been available for comment on the claims made by Davis and his people.
