Lucy Liu Is 'Watching the Detectives'

The two actors have finalized negotiations to star in the romantic comedy 'Watching the Detectives', scheduled to start shooting next Monday in New York. The movie is currently in pre-production and the exact location of the set has not yet been announced.

Murphy plays the part of a very calm, organized and predictable man, whose life is turned completely upside down by the appearance of a 'femme fatale' played by Liu.

She may prove to be much too adventurous for his taste and maybe even more than he can handle. Eventually, we can easily suspect that they will end up falling in love and working through all their issues.

The script was penned by the ex-member of the comedy group Broken Lizard, Paul Soter, who will also make his directorial debut with this movie.

'Watching the Detectives' will be produced by Peace Arch Entertainment and Plum Pictures and the first production company is also acting as a co-financer and worldwide distributor.

At the moment, Peace Arch is working on the 'Chapter 27' drama, starring Lindsay Lohan and Jared Leto, while Plum on another romantic comedy 'Dedication', with Billy Crudup and Mandy Moore in the leading roles.
