Scarlett Johansson kicks serious butt as Black Widow in the Marvel movies (more in “Avengers” than in “Iron Man,” and more in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” than in “Avengers”) but the world has obviously seen nothing when compared to what Lucy can do.

Lucy, you see, is a “metahuman,” which means she has the same powers as a superhero, plus a few more and intelligence like man has never known. She is the main character of the upcoming film from writer and director Luc Besson, also called “Lucy.”

Below is the first official trailer, released some hours ago. Lucy, we learn, was just like most young women until she was drugged, kidnapped and had a bag of drugs planted in her stomach so she could act like a mule.

However, once that bag of drugs starts leaking into her body, she develops abilities that will make the gangsters who thought taking advantage of her would be fun lament the day they were born. Among them are very strong telekinetic powers and the ability to absorb intelligence from another human being at the touch of a finger.

From what we can see in the trailer, it will take the entire mafia from the US and China to stop her from getting even – and it will be one glorious ride until she gets there.

“Lucy” drops in theaters in August.
