One of the handsets that Finnish vendor Nokia might officially unveil before the end of this year is rumored to be a more affordable flavor of the Lumia 920 smartphone, set to replace the Lumia 82x series.

According to a recent article on nokiapoweruser, the handset should arrive on shelves with a 4.7-inch WXGA CBD AMOLED touchscreen display, while featuring the same CPU / GPU as Lumia 920 did.

Moreover, the smartphone will sport an 8-megapixel Carl–Zeiss optics camera with F/1.9 aperture, though without the OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) technology that made its predecessor famous.

Expected to make an official appearance sometime in the September-October timeframe, the Windows Phone 8 handset should be aggressively priced, rumor has it.

No official confirmation on the device has been offered until now, but rumors on a low-cost Lumia 920 smartphone did emerge before and all rumors might pan out in the end, so stay tuned.
