Not as cheap as you'd expect

Samsung just added the M110 entry-level candybar to its line of mobile phones, targeting the masses that need only the basic handset features. The device looks as plain as it gets, but has all chances of appealing to some customers.

The evolved mobile phones usually get all the attention, leaving the less evolved ones in the shadow, and all for a good reason. Samsung M110 has nothing to impress potential customers, but might very well see large sale rates, as low end mobile phones have a strong market out there.

Now that the Christmas holiday season is coming, mobile phone users have all the reasons to be interested in buying a mobile phone, possibly the very first one that they have ever owned. An affordable device is always perfect to start with, which should make Samsung M110 one of the best available options.

The phone manages to pack all the basic features that a fresh owner might need, such as a VGA camera. That's a cheap solution of taking poor image captures that will be great especially for those who don't look for evolved such results. Samsung M110 is a 2.5 G enabled device that also includes an MP3 player and FM radio for entertainment.

The rugged appearance might scare some buyers away, although it could arouse the interest of some few others. It certainly looks like a universal design that could be assigned to a large number of handset producer, which makes Samsung's mark on it almost invisible.

Samsung M110 appeared on the site of a Dutch online retailer and on Amazon UK as well in an unlocked version that comes for the price of 100 pounds. The device is expected to start shipping on the 5th of December this year and make the best of the holidays season's requests.
