The new computer relies on a Pentium Dual Core CPU from Intel

All-in-one PCs cost quite a bit more than normal desktops, given the extra care needed to ensure the crammed hardware doesn't overheat from the low ventilation space. That's why even Acer's new model costs $600 / €443 – €600.

The PC in question is called Acer Aspire ZC-605 Series and, as far as AiO's go, only offers the bare minimum of features.

Kind of like a computer for office work or basic home use, for people who don't want to clutter their space with a desktop, monitor and everything in-between. It definitely doesn't come close to, say, Lenovo's A530, that's for sure.

Still, it has decent enough hardware, we suppose, provided you don't intend to play any strenuous games on it.

First off, the central processing unit (CPU) is an Intel Pentium Dual Core 2127U, with HD integrated graphics and a frequency of 1.9 GHz, plus 2 MB shared L3 cache memory and 64-bit support.

4 GB of DDR3 dual-channel memory back the chip up, and there aren't any higher options, since there would be little point to them given the CPU.

The display, meanwhile, is a 19.5-inch LED-backlit LCD with, presumably, a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels.

There seems to be a second configuration too, with an Intel Celeron 1007I dual-core CPU at 1.5 GHz, but otherwise unchanged hardware.

Either way, Acer's new product boasts an integrated SuperMulti optical drive, Wi-Fi (802.11n), Bluetooth 4.0, 500 GB / 1 TB HDD storage, and Dolby Home Theater v4 audio.

The new Acer ZC-605 Series configuration can only be found in America, for now. Presumably, it will reach other regions soon enough, like Europe for €600, unless exchange rates really do matter and it will be priced closer to €443, as we have said previously.

Needless to say, USB connectors are included on all systems: two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports.
