Some of the makers of Tiny Thief, a simplistic point-and-click adventure sporting some really cute graphics, are now working on a brand new video game, titled Love You to Bits, expected to come out next year.

Tiny Thief was a pretty solid experience on mobiles, and it translated pretty well on PC too. The game presented the story of a rogue character fighting for the little guy, battling the oppressive authorities together with his pet weasel.

Our review of Tiny Thief on PC can show you what developer 5Ants was capable of pulling off, as well as provide some context for the following sentence.

Love You to Bits is a sort of spiritual successor to Tiny Thief, taking place in space, and following a human explorer venturing out into the universe in order to find and rescue his robot girlfriend, who has been torn apart into little pieces. The brave young lad has to find them all in order to be able to put her back together.

The game, just like Tiny Thief, will feature a lot of pointing, a lot of clicking, and loads of adventuring. Tiny Thief managed to work very well within the constraints of touch controls, and its story and cute animations had a way of sneaking up on you, leaving you charmed and craving more.

Love You to Bits seems poised to do the exact same, judging from the images that Alike Studio released alongside the official announcement video, available below.

A cute but dramatic space quest

The story will take you all across the known universe and will maybe enable you to explore some parts of the unknown one, who knows.

One of the great things about Tiny Thief, apart from its simplistic and humorous charm, was the fact that it was pretty well balanced, not overly difficult but not too easy either. We'll have to see whether its futuristic successor manages to rise to the challenge of matching that.

The images revealed so far show a wealth of different environments, ranging from secret mad scientist labs to something that looks like an homage to the Star Wars cantina, and even an entire planet, albeit, granted, a very tiny one.

Love You to Bits is scheduled to come out sometime around mid-2015, headed to iOS first, and later on to the Android, Mac OS and Windows PC platforms.
