Four new commercials from Germany

No less than four new Windows 7 video advertisements are now available, and exclusively for your “viewing pleasure” I integrated them all at the bottom of this article. Yes, “viewing pleasure” because, although the general message of the ads is designed to spread the love for Windows 7, viewers are bound to at least raise an eyebrow if not downright dislike them entirely. Microsoft has already offered examples of video advertisements for its latest iteration of the Windows client, but the commercials produced in Germany are not in the same league as the other Windows 7 marketing efforts from the Redmond company.

Granted, “Wir lieben Windows 7” has a certain resonance in German, and the rime helps in this regard, but the German “We love Windows 7” commercials are bound to deliver no impact to the love users already have for the successor of Windows Vista, especially no negative impact. According to Christian Decker from the Microsoft Austria Partner Marketing Team, the four videos have been put together by members of Microsoft Germany.

If you’re looking at the Mexican in the picture at the top and you’re wondering what he has to do with Windows 7, then simply watch the videos embedded below and by all means try to figure it out. All videos are obviously products of amateurs, unlike previous Windows 7 video ads that have been published for the public.

In this first half of September 2009, Director Marty Martin made public no less than three out of a total of five video commercials he had shot for Windows 7. Martin’s videos are designed to bring into the spotlight various features that are the backbone of the Windows 7 experience. In addition, Microsoft released a new advertisement featuring Kylie, set up to let the world know of the good news that is synonymous with Windows 7. The Kylie ad ends with the promise that “more happy is coming,” certainly not the “Wir lieben Windows 7” commercials.
