During a press conference held in Atlanta on Friday, the usual discreet pop icon Janet Jackson opened up about her relationship to the music mogul and about the way in which it influenced her latest album.
More that 20 years after her breaking into the spotlight with her 'Control' album, Janet acknowledges the important part that Dupri plays in her life.
She says that most of the tracks from the new material, besides being produced by her boyfriend, bear the mark of the positive look on life she now has because of him.
'I always wanted to find love. Now, that I found love, I'm in a different space now. Jermaine is drama-free. He's a very giving person. The challenges have been all joy working with Jermaine', a radiant Janet told the media representatives.
More than an influence on her music, Jermaine's presence seems to have left an impression on her attitude towards children, too. 'I would love to have kids. I never thought I would ever want any. But being with Jermaine really changed my mind on all that. I don't mind adopting', the artist said.
'20 Years Old' is scheduled for release on September 26.
