The iPhone concept sounded so great to the Chinese that they wished they had thought of it before. No time to waste, they put some hard work into it and finally brought the Love Feng Mobile Phone, a 'xerox copy' of iPhone, or so they wish it to be.
We have heard about "iPhone killers", but less about "iPhone
copies". The Love Feng handset
would be a perfect match for that title, although its producers say it to be even better than the original thing. Apple must be red with fury and green with envy for not being able to bring the same amount of performances that the copy does. And still, they're not.
The Love Feng Mobile Phone has been spotted on a Chinese auction site, in a series of photos. Some of the images even place it next to the iPhone, to make the comparison more obvious. Still, differences stand out greatly, without this being a surprise to anyone.
The handset indeed packs a touchscreen, although a smaller screen and some additional buttons for helping navigation. One more important
difference comes from the fact that the device actually works on Windows XP. The interface is adapted to Chinese use and proves to be less dynamic than that of the real iPhone.
The copy also packs a 2 megapixel camera, meant to provide images at an average quality. The real thing is not better than the copy at this feature, although the real image might look slightly different on one handset than on the other.
The Chinese phone packs a microSD card in order to compensate for the data storage space which is surely not as large as the iPhone's. Still, it is unlikely that the handset can use a card of up to 8 GB, which is the least for matching Apple's phone.
Overall quality is obviously lower for the Love Feng Mobile Phone and the price should be the same. Still, until the
iPhone reaches China, this looks like an acceptable device to make up for not having the real thing.
