Everybody agrees that love and relationships are very important in their lives, but what can you do when you are simply unlucky and can't find your significant other? Some would advise you to just be patient because your soul mate is somewhere waiting for you, while others would suggest asking for help from a so-called “love guru.”

What qualities would recommend someone as a good love doctor is unclear to me, but it seems that he or she should know a lot about love.

Hayley Quinn from London is such a love doctor who makes her living helping desperate men and women get over their failed relationships and take control of their love lives.

Five years ago, Hayley helped an unfortunate romantic find love. Her advice paid off and since then she has become one of the nation's most in-demand love gurus.

The 27-year-old dating expert has helped more than 100,000 men to overcome their fear of approaching women. However, the so-called love doctor has a story of her own, as she hasn't always been so lucky in love.

“I was not an attractive teenager - I looked awful. I was overweight, I had bad hair, braces, hand-me-down clothes, bad skin - I was a total geek, I just repelled boys,” Hayley said, as reported by Daily Mail.

“I was crippled with shyness, anxiety and self-doubt all throughout school and university - and even though my looks improved as I got older, I was still painfully shy,” she added.

As she grew up, the love expert says she couldn't hold down a serious relationship as she was addicted to dating. She preferred short affairs with both men and women. That's how she learned how to engage with people and is now cashing in on it.

Hayley now earns up to £100,000 ($166,180/€119,625) a year sharing dating advice. She charges around £200 ($332/€239) for a private 90-minute session and she also speaks at events, holds seminars and writes columns for newspapers and magazines.

But after years of helping others find their soul mates, she has eventually got lucky too and found a true love of her own. She is now in a relationship with 27-year-old singer/songwriter and music producer Dan.

“Everyone deserves to find that special someone. When I work with people - regardless of looks, age, gender - I like to think I really see that person, I see something that is attractive in everyone,” Hayley says.

Personally, I wouldn't trust a "love guru" to solve my intimate problems, but I understand that there are people desperate enough to seek help from so-called love experts.
