In a luxury leather case

Samsung Bang & Olufsen Serenata, the exquisite music phone from Samsung and B & O will be dressed by the luxury French fashion brand Louis Vuitton. When you have a select mobile phone you wouldn't want anything bad to happen to it, right? And since a normal, cheap case is not suited for such a handset, here comes Louis Vuitton to create a leather case for Serenata. The case is made from natural calfskin and its surface is dyed with exclusive vegetative essences.

Samsung B & O Serenata is the latest approach to a personal music player, created to take the experience of mobile digital music to another level. It's not the first collaboration between Samsung and Bang & Olufsen, as back in 2005 the two companies released the Serene model which made quite an impression at that time, especially because of its unusual design.

The new Serenata has a generous memory of 4 GB, enough to store about 1,000 MP3s if you want to. Unfortunately, the memory cannot be expanded so users will have to limit to the 4 GB. The phone is 3G-enabled and looks quite elegant. Too bad about its dimension: 109.5 x 63 x 19.7 millimeters, more than most of the luxury phones of today. But, considering the fact that it's intended to be a phone and a standalone home media player at the same time, this is not really a drawback.

Some say that Samsung Bang & Olufsen Serenata is just a phone for people who want to show off. Of course, many of its owners will indeed show off, and now they have the occasion to show off even more, by adding the Louis Vuitton leather case.

Samsung Bang & Olufsen Serenata is available at a price a bit over 1,000 Euro (about $1,500). There are no details about how much the Louis Vuitton leather case costs, but it will most probably have a price comparable to the one of many low-end phones on the market.
