Elton John is
to marry David Furnish on December 21, shortly after same-sex marriages become legal in the U.K. If the two have declared they intended to keep the wedding ceremony as low-key as possible, the hen party won't be so shy.
George Michael was the one to reveal the plans of the grooms-to-be, while on air at London's Capital FM radio yesterday.
"I think they're having a hen night before, which is not going to be so low-key (as their wedding). I might not be there for that."
But Michael is to be amongst the lucky ones invited to attend to the wedding ceremony instead, along with his partner Kenny Goss.
The big day - December 21 - might be used by Sir Elton John's ex manager and lover John Reid for a naughty revenge gesture. Mr. Reid is threatening to release that day a tell-all autobiography about the times when Elton John and him were a couple.
Their relationship ended after 28 years of love in a not so affectionate court case in 2000. Sir Elton had tried to recover $25.2 million he claimed he was owed by one of Reid's former employees.
