Impressed about the tragedy from
New Orleans and Louisiana, the "Lost" cast gathered together at a charity event organized by series star Harold Perrineau, to raise money for Hurricane Katrina victims.
The event, who took place in Waikiki, raised $20,250.
Matthew Fox, who plays hunky surgeon Jack Sheppard in the show, says, "This is how we're trying to help. Raise some money and maybe, just maybe, ease someone's suffering. I have some friends down in Louisiana. It's been really tough on them."
Lost, developed exclusively by ABC and released in 2004, is a television series set in the aftermath of a plane crash on a mysterious tropical island somewhere in the South Pacific.
The series uniquely tracks two major, interconnected themes: first, the struggles of the 48 survivors of the crash as they cope with living together on the strange island and second, the lives of the 14 main characters before the crash, retold through flashbacks.
