Los Angeles, Jan 19 (Reuters Life!)- Playing sports games on the Nintendo Wii with his fianc?e, Philadelphia resident Mickey DeLorenzo noticed they were soaked wet and out of breath at the end of each game. This sparked the idea to make an experiment to see if this fun activity can be used in even more useful purpose: to lose weight. He stated "On the fly, as I was typing my blog posts, I set up a daily regimen and went at it 100 percent."

In the six weeks and 21 hours of total game play for his experiment on Nintendo, DeLorenzo was stunned to realize that he had in fact lost nine pounds, that's four kg.

Not having to reduce the amount of calories DeLorenzo usually ingested daily, the "before and after" was obvious thus showing once again that exercise is the best way to lose weight and keep in shape.

The Wii Remote, also nicknamed Wiimote, is the primary controller for Nintendo's Wii console. The main feature of the Wii Remote is its motion sensing capability, which allows the user to interact with and manipulate items on screen via movement and pointing. Keep in mind that sports games are the best for using the Wiimote at its full potential.

So, think of how much money you probably spend at the gym trying to get that blubber off. It is as annoying as it is hard and slow. Why not do it the easy and fun way by playing the Nintendo Wii?

Surely the guys at Nintendo thought the Wiimote will be as much fun as innovating, but did they also think it will make people lose weight?
