Lords of the Fallen, the impressive-looking role-playing game from CI Games and Bandai Namco, has just received some details about its actual gameplay, the classes present in the new title, and its world.

Lords of the Fallen was revealed to the world some time ago, but only recently did it receive some great new screenshots and footage, establishing the great-looking role-playing game as one of the more intriguing all-new intellectual properties set to appear this fall.

Polish developer CI Games has already discussed the new game and said that it reaches the full HD 1080p resolution on the PS4 and that it might also achieve this on the Xbox One.

Now, the studio has offered some more details, via AGB, about the game and its basic premise, revealing that players will have to take down a series of Lords and Generals until reaching the main villain, a fallen god.

"Lords of the Fallen is a challenging Action RPG set in a medieval fantasy world ruled by a Fallen God. Fighting against the formidable Lords and Generals that command his demonic army is the main feature of the game. Lords of the Fallen rewards skill and persistence among dedicated Action RPG fans."

The developer has also discussed the actual combat system, promising that players will be able to wield both weapons and different powers, not to mention upgrade them with various improvements.

"The combat system consists of many complex skills that join both weapon mastery and supernatural abilities combined with large number of weapons, armors and upgrades. Large variety of items and gear can be found throughout re-exploration and investigating game’s deep and intriguing secret areas."

During the story, players will find out more about the game's world but also uncover plenty of details about the character they're actually controlling.

Over 15 boss encounters are present in Lords of the Fallen, from the aforementioned Lords and Generals, to giant beasts but also smaller humans that will employ different magical attacks.

The combat system will focus on a "large variety of tactical medieval based weapon fighting techniques" and also "powerful and spectacular supernatural skills."

There are three classes right now, in the form of the Warrior, Rogue, and Cleric, and players can combine gear and powers from each of these categories. They can also explore a variety of locations filled with hidden objects and secrets.

Lords of the Fallen is set to debut on PC, PS4, and Xbox One this fall.
