One of the best security solutions for mobile devices, Lookout Mobile Security will soon be free for some Orange customers.

Lookout, the team behind the Android application, has just announced it has teamed up with Orange to offer European users the popular Lookout Security & Antivirus application for free.

Under agreement, Orange customers will get the Lookout Security & Antivirus application preloaded by default on their Android devices.

According to Lookout, “beginning in 2013, Lookout Mobile Security will come standard on Android phones for Orange customers in France, the UK, Spain and Slovakia. And if you are one of the lucky ones to own a Sony Mint phone in France, you’ll find that Lookout Mobile Security is already on your phone – yes that’s the same phone that James Bond uses. Even 007 knows that security is important!”

There’s a high chance the agreement will expand to additional countries where Orange has a consistent customer database, though we’re still waiting for more details on this one.

With more than 10 million downloads on Google Play store, Lookout Security & Antivirus is one of the most popular security applications for Android devices.

The application is meant to protect Orange customers no matter what they do, “whether it’s staying safe from bad apps, unsafe links, data loss or even finding missing phones.”

Lookout Security & Antivirus is also available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 1.5 and up. Check it out here.

Keep in mind that some features are only available in the Premium version of Lookout Mobile Security, such as the option to block dangerous URLs, as well as the ability to remotely lock the phone and/or wipe the data from Lookout.com to prevent unauthorized use. The Premium version unlocks via in-app purchase.
