Huge expectations for the holiday shopping season

We all know that the online shopping industry grew up a lot and it is going to become even more popular very soon, the analysts think. Market researcher JupiterResearch said that it expects to see a huge number of US online shoppers in the upcoming holiday season which might spend no less than $39 billion on the things they buy from the Internet.

Obviously, the main winner of this prediction is Amazon, the largest online shopping website but the Internet giants will also generate considerable revenues. Imagine that consumers looking to buy things will access the search engines in order to find online shops. Not only the search engine will obtain search traffic but they are also able to monetize the adverts since the shops will be interested in advertising their special holiday offerings.

"This market remains insulated from macroeconomic factors cited to adversely affect overall holiday retail sales," it is mentioned in the report according to AFP. "As a result, retailers are planning to increase their efforts to attract customers across a variety of tactics with search marketing leading the way."

Google is obviously one of the companies which can't wait for the holiday season because most of the online shoppers might use its search technology to find gifts and other things to buy. But Google is not a top player only on the search market because it owns Checkout, an online buying service which may have a word to say this year.

In the past years, Google promoted Checkout using several special offers and bonuses such as free processing so I'm pretty curios to see what the Google special offerings are this year. However, it's an interesting battle so if you're one of the users addicted to online shopping, you might benefit from several special offerings.
