Look! It's the Scary Lady with Dirty Hair...

I had no idea dirty was the new sexy these days...

How long since you washed the mane, then?

It's a good thing we all know by now that Lily Allen is a bitching brat who sometimes displays little or no common sense - otherwise I would have been shocked at her complete lack of... well, sense, not to mention her big mouth and the fact that she obviously never thinks about the things that come out of that big mouth. I know this is true with many "celebrities" out there, but it's always funny how people can display the same degree of silliness over and over again - and actually think it makes them "cool", "outspoken" or "in your face honest". Can you think of anything funnier than that? I sure can - how about a young singer who is the face of a haircare range (let's say it's Braun's Satin, just for the sake of it) and who goes public saying that she likes her hair looking dirty.

"My hair is naturally straight, but it looks longer when it is sleek. Sometimes I use a certain spray because I prefer it when my hair looks a bit dirty - like day-after hair". Yes, that one was totally sensible. You know what I think? I think that all that not washing has somehow had an effect on Lily's mental state too - probably altered her brains a little. I mean, don't get me wrong - I think that what she said may even be true, but that's not the point here. The point is that for someone who deliberately chose to make herself part of the advertising game (and therefore pretend to have perfect hair and groom it perfectly) it's a must to go on with the hypocrisy 'till the very end, that is stick with her story and stop trying to be "cool and honest" at the same time.

But it seems that sense is not that high up in Lily's list of values. The singer apparently feels that being a celebrity is not worth all the hours spent trying to improve her looks - and she feels that this is particularly true in the States. "You feel like a complete state in the US if you don't make an effort. I remember getting a manicure in New York and this lady who was having a forearm wax, which I'd never even heard of before, looked at me and said, 'You will need one soon.' They make you feel really bad about yourself unless you are completely pruned everywhere. I hate that modern way of thinking that you have to go to the gym 10 times a week, you can't eat this and you can't eat that and you should get a spray tan" she added. Um, isn't going to the gym the way Lily achieved her own slimmer figure that she so loves to show off these days? Yes, precisely what I was telling you - this hypocrisy parade just keeps going and going and going...
