The man who stood by the glamour model for so many years in her legal battle against her late husband's son for her right to inherit, the attorney Howard K. Stern, just admitted publicly that he is the real father of the baby girl born less than two weeks ago.

During a videotaped interview with Larry King for CNN, Stern says that he has been romantically involved with Anna Nicole for many years, but they just didn't want to make the relationship public because of the media. But now, with the grieving mother's approval, he decided to set the record straight, especially after the photojournalist Larry Birkhead also claimed the paternity of the newborn baby girl.

'Anna and I have been in a relationship and we love each other, and it's been going on for a very long time, and because of my relationship as her lawyer, we felt that it was best to keep everything hidden', Stern told Larry King. At the same time, he infirmed what Birkhead said, namely that the girl is in fact his, by saying that the time she was born clearly indicates that the photojournalist did not father her.

The attorney also talked about the way in which Anna is dealing with the loss of her 20-year-old son Daniel, saying that she feels like, if she were to put this tragic moment behind her, he would be exchanging one child for another. Nevertheless, Danilynn Hope, as she has been named, is 'the one ray of hope. It's the one thing that's really keeping her going'.

Anna Nicole Smith is, according to Stern's words, considering moving to the Bahamas on long term, with him (he also hinted at a possible future marriage), to avoid the media and start over a new chapter in her life. Meanwhile, both she and her attorney are waiting for the toxicology report, meant to establish Daniel's exact cause of death.
