A production company working on Disney’s latest Johnny Depp movie, “Lone Ranger,” which also stars Armie Hammer, is being held responsible for the death of a worker on the set. The state has just slapped the company with a hefty fine.

The man, Mike Bridger, died while cleaning one of the water tanks on the set in September last year.

TMZ has obtained documents from the Cal OSHA (as in, California’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration) issued to Silver Bullet Productions in the case of the worker’s death, fining them for not offering proper working conditions.

The fine has been set at $61,000 (€47,463) for a number of violations.

“SB failed to obtain medical records for the diver, SB did not have a standby diver available when Bridger was in the water, SB let Bridger dive without a tether, [and] Bridger dove without a partner,” TMZ reports.

Other, minor violations are also listed.
