14 DAY TRIAL // Staff at London Zoo in the UK has recently announced that the facility is now home to a set of rare Sumatran tiger triplets that were born here bright and early on Monday morning.
The Guardian tells us that the cubs were born to a 5-year-old tigress named Melati, and a 6-year-old tiger that goes by the name Jae Jae.
“We couldn't be more delighted with our new arrivals, and with how Melati is responding to her three cubs,” zookeeper Teague Stubbington said in a statement.
“We've nicknamed one Trouble, as it's much bolder than the others – it was the first to start exploring its den and we've spotted it waking up its siblings when they fall asleep,” the zoo employee added.
For the time being, caretakers at London Zoo cannot say whether the tiger cubs are boys or girls. Thus, the tiger family is presently hidden inside a den that is off display, and not even keepers have dared venture inside it.
However, the baby felines and their mom are closely monitored with the help of cameras. In fact, London Zoo employees have been courteous enough to share some of the footage they have until now obtained with wildlife enthusiasts.
