You'd think that no one would stop people from enjoying their new and awesome DSLR camera, but the London Transport Museum has different things to say on the matter.

Because of the high-quality sensors and high resolutions, DSLR cameras figure as professional equipment as far as they are concerned.

Thus, with such things expressly forbidden, many people had to go through the tour without snapping any photo to show for it.

We'll echo some of the other folks on the web and say that we don't quite see the sense in this rule.

We can understand that things like cameras on tripods or big, shoulder beasts would interfere, but there is a limit beyond which things get a tad bit ridiculous.

Either way, if you're going to drop by the Aldwych Station, don't you dare presume you're allowed to take any photos unless your cameras is of some lower-quality digital item, like one of those things with film.

It was on the website and on the actual ticket itself that dSLR's were banned - so more fool you if you didn't read it. This sign was not there when I visited - but I'm presuming that's down to people either not reading the restrictions or trying to blag their way in with their dSLR. Aldwych station is a privately owned building, therefore the owners can impose restrictions on photography.
