Once again building on its role as world-class supplier of peripherals, Logitech has unleashed its latest keyboard, one that works without cables and has should be able to link to more than just PCs.

Back in the beginning times of computing, keyboards were a more or less exclusive part of the personal computer or whatever other sort of system existed at the time.

Still, with TVs and multimedia product getting remote controls, it was just a matter of time before keyboards started to incorporate similar capabilities.

Now, with such things as Smart TVs and All-in-One monitors running around the market, that keyboards will work with them is no longer shocking at all.

By extension, the new wireless keyboard from Logitech likely will not surprise anyone with its primary function as controller for laptops connected to TVs.

Basically, whenever users decide to stream media from a notebook to a HDTV, they will be able to sit on a couch, take the Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 in their lap and type away or use the 3.5-inch touchpad to scroll through controls.

The wireless range is 10 meters, which is really not much different from that of most other wireless peripherals out there.

It needs only have the small Logitech unifying receiver plugged inside one of the laptop's USB ports and, as an extra asset, it has the ability to ling five compatible devices to that very same receiver.

As for the batteries, they can last for up to a whole year without requiring to be changed.

Other features one might like to learn about include the sleek, low profile-keys, the black paint job and bold, bright white characters that enable one to read them even in dim lighting conditions.

The Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 carries the price of $59 and should already be available for shipment.
