It looks like Logitech continues to unveil new products for gaming enthusiasts as we are approaching a new “Back to School” season. The company, recognized as one of the leading vendors of computer peripherals and gaming solutions, has announced today the introduction of two new products, designed to provide computer gaming enthusiasts with new tools to improve their gaming. The updated product portfolio includes the company's new Logitech G500 gaming mouse, an updated version of the successful G5 Laser Mouse and the new Logitech Gaming Headset G330. Part of the company's G-series, the new products are set to become available to gaming enthusiasts worldwide.

“As more and more people make gaming with family and friends the new night out, Logitech continues to push the envelope with the Logitech G-series,” said Ruben Mookerjee, Logitech’s director of product marketing for gaming. “If you’re getting serious about gaming – or have already seen the light – then the best way to dive ever deeper into the game is by putting the G500 mouse in your good hand and the G330 headset on your head. Victory is up to you.”

Kicking off with the new G500 gaming mouse, Logitech has decided it’s time to provide its customers with an updated version of the successful G5 Laser Mouse. In that perspective, the G500 has been fitted with a gaming-grade laser engine, on-the-fly adjustable-DPI function and a rugged design that boasts a battle-worn finish. As any respectable gaming mouse, the G500 also comes with a customizable weight system, which includes up to 27 grams of extra weight, letting the user choose the right weight level for his hand. In addition, the G500 has also been featured with a dual-mode scroll wheel and ten programmable buttons.

The G330 has been built as a lightweight, gaming-grade headset with a behind-the-head design, soft silicone-lined headband and pivoting ear pads, meant to provide the end-user with a comfortable gaming experience. The headset also includes a noise-canceling microphone and a USB adapter that allows the user to choose to connect digitally to a USB port or via 3.5mm jacks.

As far as pricing and availability goes, the new G500 mouse is expected to become available in the U.S. and Europe next month with a suggested retail price of US$69.99, while the G330 headset is due out later in August for a suggested US$49.99.
