Logitech Rolls Out New Wireless Presenters

Continuing to update its portfolio with new product releases, Logitech has announced today the launch of its new Professional Presenter R800 and Wireless Presenter R400, two products designed to give users new and enhanced tools for delivering a noteworthy presentation. The new devices have been featured with convenient and intuitive slideshow touch controls and laser pointing, which makes them more reliable to use when moving around a conference room.

 

“When you give a presentation you want to engage with your audience, not the technology,” said Rory Dooley, senior vice president and general manager of Logitech’s Control Devices business unit. “Packed with features that are designed to make you a better presenter, the Professional Presenter R800 and Wireless Presenter R400 eliminate the need to run back and forth to your computer or interrupt your PowerPoint presentation to tell your colleague to go to the next slide.”

 

Kicking off with the Professional Presenter R800, Logitech has designed a product that will allow users to focus on their presentation and the crowd, setting their minds free of details such as presentation timing. The R800 is featured with silent, vibrating alert that is displayed on the integrated 1-by-1/2-inch LCD and which vibrates when the presentation has just five, two or zero minutes to the end. There's also a reception indicator that informs you when you have gone too far from the wireless transceiver, while a green laser points the audience’s attention to your presentation.

 

The R400 has been designed for smaller rooms, featuring a red laser and a battery power indicator that informs you of the time you have with the presenter. In addition, the company also integrated a comfortable design, making the R400 easier to use.

 

As far as pricing and availability goes, the new Professional Presenter R800 is expected to become available in the U.S. and Europe starting this month for a suggested retail price of US$99.99. The R400 is scheduled to arrive in September for about US$49.99.
