The dedicated accessory was announced a few days after the tablets were unleashed

Back at CES 2014 Samsung announced its latest tablets, the Galaxy TabPRO 8.4, 10.1, 12.2 and Galaxy NotePRO 12.2. Immediately after, Logitech rushed to reveal a line of companion cases for the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 and Galaxy TabPRO 12.2 complete with a Bluetooth keyboard, which have recently been made available for pre-order.

The cases will allow users to turn the two high-end tablets into a laptop, to be used in productive scenarios. The cases feature dual-stand view, so the tablets can be propped up for watching videos or typing away on Facebook.

An added benefit of using the Logitech keyboards is that they bundle an extra battery, so you’ll be able to prolong the slate’s life by using them. Supposedly, the keyboard can provide up to three months of extra battery on a single charge, but we assume this will happen only in stand-by mode.

Users shouldn’t be worried about the tablet accidentally slipping out of the case, because the Logitech accessories feature the SecureLock System which ensures your device stays in place. The accessory features a lightweight clip attached on the sides, meant to keep the corners of the tablet in place.

The keyboard is chargeable via the included USB cable and can also be pumped up using a USB adapter, computer or laptop.

Now customers located in the UK should know the Logitech accessory is already up for pre-order in the country and those of you who want to be the first to get one can head over at GearZap.

Be warned the cases will set you back with a lofty £109.99 / $183 / €134 (add a little more and you could buy the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite budget slate instead), which is a lot of money, but since the premium Galaxy tablets are going to be sold for around $1,500 / €1,096, it makes sense.

GearZap ships in the US too, but American customers could wait for the Logitech site to make the case available for purchase at $129.99 / €94.
