The Google TV platform is set to be launched in the US sometime later this year, so Logitech decided to unleash its hardware offer in advance, completing a full set of devices meant to allow access to Google's service and, of course, ease of use.

Logitech's offer is made up of three items, a so-called main piece and two accessories, each with their very own functionality and purpose.

The Logitech Revue is a so-called box that uses 10/100 LAN or 802.11 b/g/n WiFi to connect to the Internet and stream, to a HDTV, media from websites or grant access to Google TV apps.

To communicate with said HDTV, the box is equipped with two HDMI 1.3 outputs and boasts the Harmony Link technology, which makes navigation easier. The Revue also boasts two USB 2.0 ports.

The TV Cam is the second device that the company came up with and is, as one can deduce, an USB-connected webcam that allows one to perform HD video calls.

For those interested in specifications, this webcam has Carl Zeiss optics, 5x digital zoom, two microphones, the RightLight 2 technology (adjusts images in dim light) and noise and echo cancellation.

The third device is the Mini Controller, a wireless device that is a merger between a palm-sized keyboard, a remote control and a touch pad.

It measures 6 by 3.5 inches and is meant to grant full control over the Full Google TV functionality and can last for up to two weeks on a single battery charge.

The Revue 'companion box' will start shipping by the end of the month, bundled with the wireless keyboard controller and priced at $300.

The Mini Controller and webcam can also be bought alone, with prices of $130 and $150, respectively.

What's more, Logitech made a partnership with DISH networks in order to combine DISH Network TV programming as well as Web content in a single solution.

“We are delighted to be working with DISH Network to offer consumers what we believe is a transformational TV experience – through a combination of DISH’s programming and DISH’s integration with the Logitech Revue with Google TV, that includes unique DVR search and control,” said Greg Rhine, vice president and general manager of Logitech’s Americas region.
