After releasing a whole slew of peripherals, from mice and keyboard to headsets, Logitech has now again entered the spotlight in order to trumpet the advent of the M570, its latest wireless trackball meant for right-handed users.

Wireless peripherals have become more and more popular over the past year, especially with wireless technologies advancing at the pace they are.

Though such products need batteries, they are found quite convenient by end-users because of the freedom of movement they bring.

Logitech sought to supplement this convenience with comfort and versatility when it created the Wireless Trackball M570.

The company used its Unifying receiver in order to enable the wire-free communication between the gadget and the host PC.

This receiver is stored within the M570 and has 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity that can maintain a stable and fast link over a distance of up to 10 meters.

The product also comes with a laser sensor and, of course, one AA battery that can supposedly last for up to 18 months.

“Based on overwhelming demand from our dedicated trackball users, we’re delighted to announce the introduction of a new wireless trackball – the Logitech Wireless Trackball M570,” said Rory Dooley, senior vice president and general manager of Logitech’s control devices business unit.

“Everything about our newest trackball is built to improve the experience and give trackball enthusiasts the comfort and control they deserve,” he added.

“The Logitech Wireless Trackball M570 also delivers precise cursor control wherever you want so hard tables, comfy sofas and lumpy beds are all no problem,” the press release also states.

“The laser tracking sensor uses the ball, rather than a surface, to guide movement – so you can use it almost anywhere,” the announcement added.

Set to start shipping sometime this month, the Logitech Wireless Trackball M570 has a price tag of $60.
