Google TV stumbled once and now did it again, or at least Logitech did in trying to market the Revue box.

Unfortunately for the little electronic, it just didn't manage to cut it, probably because of how its software wasn't even out of beta at launch, which makes one wonder why it was even let out of the lab.

Then again, the real cause was the way Logitech went about things, making lots of Revues and expecting people to buy them en masse for $300 (218 Euro).

“[We decided to just]] build a lot because we expected everybody to line up for Christmas and buy these boxes [at] $300 [...] that was a big mistake,” said CEO Guerrino De Luca.

The end of the line was that the Revue just didn't offer enough and the things it did offer were available for much less elsewhere.

Once Logitech sees the DOLLAR SIGNS of the new customers coming on board, once the Honeycomb is released..LOGITECH will be kicking themselves in the head, and leading off in doing so will be De Luca...who should have exercised a little more patience in seeing a good thing through.

I hope this teaches Logitech a good hard well learned lesson,
that doing something to production then pulling the rug out from underneath its core customers resolves nothing! Keeping the Integrity of its customers and keeping them happy is Key.
If Logitech learns from this experience in seeing the DOLLAR SIGNS In Profit post Honeycomb..they will do well to rethink killing off the revue..after all,we thought a battery car was a little crazy over 100 years ago, that's back bigger than ever..we said CD will never last, and it did..we said the record player is over..that too is back..Lessons Learned..Logitech..see this Revue through, watch the successes of the Honeycomb...and do well to keep this around for another "rebirth" into GTV 2.
