Months ago, Logitech said it would severely deal with the disappointment that the Harmony remote control division had turned into.

Fast forward five months later and the company still hasn't sold off the sub-business.

In fact, Logitech decided to do the opposite and launch a new remote control, a cheaper version of the Harmony Ultimate released back in April.

Apparently, the Ultimate universal remote sold so well that Logitech decided to give the product type another shot.

It's not exactly a remote we're looking at though, but a hub that is controlled via a smartphone app.

That way, the price drops from $349.99 / €265.99 – 349.99 to $99.99 / €75.99 – 99.99.

Sales of the Logitech Harmony Ultimate Hub will start in August in the US and Europe.
