The company hasn't chosen a replacement executive just yet

Just when it looked like nothing could throw Logitech off balance, especially so soon after the release of the Harmony Universal Remote Controls, we are proven wrong.

True, the company isn't about to say that its operations will suffer, but no corporation can go through a leadership switch without at least some change to how it does things, or a period of adjustment.

Long story short, Erik K. Bardman, senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer, will leave on April 26, 2013, after working with the Swiss company since 2009.

He has apparently received a better offer from Roku, where he will become chief financial officer as he was at Logitech.

"Erik has been an asset to Logitech over the past three and a half years," said Bracken P. Darrell, Logitech president and chief executive officer.

"We are sorry to see him leave but pleased that he has built a strong team that can continue to execute on our cost savings and turnaround as we identify his successor. We wish him the very best in his new opportunity."
