Logitech's Alert lineup of home security products is not really new, but the Alert 750n Indoor Master System and the Alert 700n Indoor Add-On Camera are.

They have just been released in fact, and should begin shipping this month (May, 2012).

The former is a video security system in a box, according to the company, with a free remote viewing account and wide-angle night vision.

The latter is a stand-alone night-vision camera that can be added to the system, so that multiple rooms and/or locations may be supervised at the same time.

What's more, motion-triggered recording is built directly into the camera and can be set up to send e-mail or phone notifications in case any one of the 16 motion-detection zones within the security frame is tipped off.

The system will sell for $299.99 (231 Euro) and the camera has a tag of 229.99 (177 Euro).
