Logitec (not to be confused with Logitech) has announced a new NAS device, one that can hold two drives at the same time.

Dubbed LSV-MS2MWG, it can have the storage devices configured in RAID 1 mode.

That means that, with the top capacity supported being of 2 TB for each unit, the maximum storage space is just short of 4 TB (some of it is sacrificed to enable the RAID functionality).

3.5-inch SATA HDDs are supported, and the NAS even boasts USB ports (two) and eSATA besides the network connector.

In other words, in addition to a server running Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 (WSS) and Active Directory, the NAS can act as a hub for printers, mobile devices and anything else that can link through the interfaces mentioned above.

Logitec wants 126,000 JPY for the 1 TB model ($1,550 / 1,170.51 Euro), 136,500 JPY for 2 TB ($1,672 / 1,262.64 Euro) and 155,400 JPY for the 4 TB one (US $1,911 / 1 443.13 Euro). Deliveries will begin in mid-March, 2012.
