Musicians now need to be on the latest OS X version to run Logic

A new version of Logic Pro has hit the Mac App Store and Apple is really proud of it. Logic Pro X is accompanied by MainStage 3, an updated version of the live performance tool for Macs.

Embedded below is a set of screenshots depicting the new look of Apple’s pro-level music making software. The first five images are of Logic Pro X, and the remainder show MainStage 3.

Not surprisingly, the system requirements for both pieces of software are identical.

To run any of the two, you’ll need to pack a minimum 4GB of RAM on a decently-specced system with OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.4 installed, as well as 64-bit Audio Units plug-ins, a minimum 5GB of disk space, and a display with 1280-by-768 resolution or higher.
