Fresh from the release of his latest movie “Noah,” actor Logan Lerman took some time to talk to MTV about his upcoming project and some of the past ones. Despite the recent launch of the Bible epic, it seems that people are more interested in the sequel for the young adult franchise “Percy Jackson.”

Sadly, Logan didn't have good news for those hoping that the third part was going to start filming soon. “It's not happening,” he said of the movie that was going to be a continuation of 2012's “Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief” and 2013's “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.”

The third part would have been based on the next book in the series called “Percy Jackson: The Titan's Curse,” and fans were hoping that it was going to come out in 2015 or 2016, at the latest.

“It's been a great experience for me, It's opened up a lot of doors for me, but I don't think it's happening,” Lerman revealed. The movies that are based on Rick Riordan's novels went on to make more than four hundred million bucks at the box office, but even with those figures it seems that the future of the franchise has been sealed.

Meanwhile, you can see Logan Lerman in his newest film, “Noah,” playing alongside Russell Crowe and Emma Watson, opening in cinemas on March 28, 2014.
