Lockheed Martin is continuing the international expansion of its cyber defense network by launching a new Cyber Intelligence Center in Canberra, the capital city of Australia. This is the company’s fourth cyber security intelligence center.

The company is confident that the new center, which will be operated by cyber intelligence analysts from the main Lockheed Martin base in Australia, further strengthens its ability to stay ahead of today’s sophisticated cyber threats.

The Canberra Cyber Intelligence Center has two main roles: to develop and expand an elite local cyber workforce, and to reinforce Lockheed Martin’s detection, identification and response to cyber security incidents.

“This new Centre is an investment in technology, expertise and talent for increased innovation throughout our Lockheed Martin team,” said Sondra Barbour, executive vice president of Lockheed Martin's information systems and global solutions.

“As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated and persistent, our cyber intelligence analysts continuously adapt and improve their methods in collaboration with government and industry partners, implementing new mitigations to keep ahead of the threats.”
