I don't usually introduce you guys to stuff one business or another is trying to get folks to buy, but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to write about Free People's magical, wondrous Cosmic Stick.

This miraculous piece of wood, a photo of which is available next to this article, is basically a log that has some yarn wrapped around it. Just to make it more interesting, Free People also added an amethyst stone to the mix.

To most people, the Cosmic Stick is probably no more and no less than the not-so-beautifully-decorated amputated limb of a seriously unlucky tree. But that's not how the folks behind Free People see it.

On the contrary, they seem to think of it as a one-of-a-kind object that is sure to forever transform the lives of those who are open-minded enough to welcome it in their homes.

Long story short, here's how they describe it, “Decorative driftwood stick, hand wrapped with gorgeous thread and enhanced with an exquisite amethyst stone.”

Apparently, the folks behind Free People are the only ones who have access to unique threat and amethyst stones that can turn logs into Cosmic Sticks. There is no way us mere mortals can create something even remotely similar.

If you're thinking about acquiring one such Cosmic Stick for yourself, you should know that, for the time being, the company only ships in the continental US. In case anyone was wondering, the Cosmic Sticks sell for $68 (€53) a piece.
