Actress Liz Hurley is back in the spotlight of the celebrity news, but surprisingly, not with the much-expected announcement of a wedding date with Indian businessman Arun Nayar.
At a fashion show in Milan on Sunday she looked swel, sparking rumors she is pregnant. The usually svelte 40-year-old brunette beauty, who prides in living on one meal a day, wore a figure-hugging dress, which showed the obvious sign of a slight bump.
Hurley, who is engaged to Nayar, has so far made no comments, but friends expect a formal announcement within weeks. One onlooker at the Versace event in Milan said: "She's famous for being fantastically trim but her bulge was unmistakable. It certainly got tongues wagging."
Speculation heightened last week when the actress, Arun and her son Damian spent five days in Swiss ski resort St. Moritz, but she refused to go on the slopes. Instead, she spent her time on the phone and playing with Damien, son of US millionaire Steve Bing.
Hurley and Nayar, who have been together for three years, have spoken earlier of their desire to have a baby. During Arun's divorce from the 34-year-old Italian model Valentina Pedroni, he accused her of refusing his "natural craving to have a child".
Last month Hurley, confessed, "Arun really wants one. I've discovered what a joy children are, so we'll see. I'd secretly like twins."
