The latest news is now available on YouTube through the videos provided by BBC World, a recent partner of the online video sharing service. According to Broadband TV News, BBC uploads approximately 30 clips per day, but the YouTube channel is not available to UK residents. The partnership was signed some time ago when the two companies announced that the deal will create three new channels on YouTube, two of them for entertainment content and one for news clips.

"The BBC has more journalists in more places than any other broadcast news organization in the world. As part of our mission to find new ways to engage audiences around the world, we are delighted to be able to offer a dedicated BBC World News channel on YouTube that gives viewers the freedom to see our first-hand reporting whenever they want," Michele Grant, senior vice president, BBC Global News Development, said according to the same source.

As you might know, the partnership with BBC came after an impressive series of deals signed with several companies able to provide video content. All of them were asked - just after the Viacom removal was started, when the MTV owner demanded the online video sharing service - to remove almost 100.000 clips from the page. At that time, YouTube attracted NBA, Chelsea FC and a lot of other companies, all of them bringing exciting video content that managed to boost YouTube's visitors.

The parent company Google sustained that YouTube managed to sign almost 1000 partnerships because the online video sharing service was looking for a lot of names able to bring more content to the product. Obviously, YouTube also tried to lure users to upload their clips because the user generated content was the one that boosted the service's traffic.
