A man has found an explosive device in a squid he was cutting up in a fish market in China. He was given the squid for butchering, and recovered a rusty bomb inside as he cut into it.

The Digital Journal reports that a local fisherman from Jiaoling County took the squid to the market off the Coast of Guangdong province.

The fishmonger who noticed the threat called local authorities, who assessed that the three-pound (1.36-kg) bomb could have been detonated at any time. They seized the bomb after inquiring about how the market worker came in possession of it.

"Perhaps he thought the bomb was his favorite food and gulped it down. [...] He certainly had a big belly when he was caught," Mr Huang jokingly commented.
