Actress says she can only work out if she makes it fun

Celebrities are often under constant pressure to look a certain way and fit certain standards, which is why they frequently perceive working out as a task that is imposed onto them, willy-nilly. As such, they need to make exercise more fun in order to be able to endure the long hours training to look good, and 31-year-old actress Liv Tyler has found just the way to do so with hula hooping, according to a BANG Showbiz report.

In a recent interview, the star admits she’s not workout material, in the sense that she has neither the time, nor the dedication to stick with a regular routine. Because of this, she was forced to come up with something that offered her plenty of exercise, while also keeping her highly entertained. For Liv, boredom is the biggest enemy so she thought of doing a hula hooping routine to keep fit, the star herself admits.

“I recently got a hula hoop and I’ve been living in Los Angeles. I put my favorite song on and stand outside and hula hoop in every direction until the song is over and I’m all out of breath. It’s really fun.” Tyler explains. However, the fact that she does this to keep fit does not mean she is in any way obsessed with the way she looks, having reached a stage in her life where she has learned to accept and love herself as she is, the good and the bad included.

“All you can do really is try your best and accept yourself. I’ll always have a more round stomach, but thank God I have thin ankles.” the star says. In all fairness, several publications point out, it’s not like there’s much to hate about Liv, or that there ever was. Always a stunning woman, Liv has also distanced herself from the lot of Hollywood female stars with her stubbornness of losing weight to be “prettier,” as not just one movie producer suggested to her in the past.

Instead, she has stuck with a healthy diet and the type of fun exercise mentioned above, and has stayed true to herself in the process. In doing so, Liv Tyler is not alone: another gorgeous actress to speak against size 0 women and excessive dieting is Kate Winslet, who has always stressed for the media the importance of learning to love and accept oneself as one is.
