Media Molecule is one of the most acclaimed studios currently active on the market, because it managed to deliver a game that offered a great experience that, in the minds of other developers, couldn't be done. That game is LittleBigPlanet, a title that has made a lot of PlayStation 3 users quite happy.

With the opportunity to create new levels and share them with your friends, thanks to the dedicated service, a lot of people have begun to promote them with the help of Internet forums or other message boards, asking others to search for their level and vote it.

Now, this process will be simplified, as Media Molecule's Alex Evans revealed, during the Nordic Game Conference, that a web-based sharing portal would be launched in the near future so that people could promote their levels more easily. Also, the opportunity to queue up downloads and have them ready next time you start up LBP on your PlayStation 3 will be present. Every level created will receive a unique URL, thus becoming much easier to find.

“Rather than going on forums and saying, 'Please search for my level,' you can just say, 'Here's a link',” Evans said. “When other users go to that page's link, they'll be given the option to queue the download of the LBP level, which will appear in the game the next time they turn on their PlayStation 3.”

This new website that will catalog the LBP levels will also offer leaderboards, photos and support comments for each and every level made. For players who are more experienced with web programming, an API will be released, enabling them to create custom applications related to the platforming game for the PS3. It will also be possible, Evans says, to create a Google Maps page that will detail the locations of the levels on Craft Earth. Currently in testing, the website and API will be released as soon as possible.
