Video game developer Media Molecule and publisher Sony have offered more information about the content that will be included in the Move Pack for the LittleBigPlanet 2 video game, which is set to be launched through the PlayStation Store on September 14.

The new pack includes a whole new story, called The Rise of the Cakeling, which includes 5 completely new levels, 2 cutscenes that explain the narrative and 7 mini games for players to engage with.

The developers are saying that the story will be about a “rouge cake threatening doom and destruction, and you Sackfolk must once again attempt to restore peace to Craftworld.”

SackBoy also gets access to a new power-up, called The Brane Crane, and there are three new gadgets to play around with: The Movinator, The Move Recorder, The Paint Tool.

All of them are used with the PlayStation Move motion tracking peripheral.

The developers at Media Molecule are also adding 4 new music tracks, 8 new pieces of music for the sequences that players can mix on their own, 32 new sound effects, 17 sequences instruments, 6 full costumes, one background, 18 materials to use for construction projects, 41 decorations, 13 object and 66 stickers.

Players will also be able to put 39 new LittleBigPlanet pins on their characters and gain 11 new Trophies for the game.

Neither Media Molecule nor Sony has said how much the new pack will cost, but considering the amount of content that is being delivered, it will probably cost 10 or maybe even 15 dollars.

Ever since launch Sony has promised that it will add Move support to LittleBigPlanet, in an effort to boost sales of its motion tracking peripheral, but the new Pack might be too little and too late to actually have an impact.

Media Molecule has not yet announced if it is working on a new LittleBigPlanet.
