Sony just dropped a boatload of LittleBigPlanet 2 news on us, revealing that a special story demo and a spin-off title with PlayStation Move support will arrive in December, as well as an extension for the beta trial of the highly anticipated game.

First off, the story mode of LittleBigPlanet 2 will be revealed in a special demo on December 21 in North America and December 22 in Europe.

[admark=1]The demo will showcase the different game types that will appear in the standalone title, including tools like the Grapple Hook and characters like the Sackbots or Creatinators.

Next up, LittleBigPlanet 2 will be getting a spin-off title called Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves, which will be released as a downloadable game on the PlayStation Store.

The title, as its name suggests, will have support for the PlayStation Move motion controller, feature local co-op and will have 10 specially-themed "Stone Age" levels.

You will need to have a Move controller and at least one friend with a DualShock one, in order to complete the downloadable game and see the prehistoric Sackboy complete his adventures.

Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves will be released on December 7 in the U.S. and 8 in Europe for PlayStation Plus subscribers and "a big bunch of LBP fans", and one week later on the regular PlayStation Store, for €5.99.

The downloadable game will also be included in the retail release of LittleBigPlanet 2, alongside other modes designed for the PlayStation Move.

Last but not least, the LittleBigPlanet 2 beta trial will be extended, as lots of PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive invitations into the stage at the beginning of December.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is set to appear at the beginning of 2011, on January 18, and will take Sony's Play, Create, Share strategy to a whole new level, after the original game that was released back in 2008.
