A week after it was launched, the game is finally available on the PlayStation Store

For an upgrade to the original, the PSP Go doesn't add as many new things from the older model as it loses. The sliding screen is an extra, but so is the cost, and not all previous PSP releases are available to the platform. But the main thing it has lost is the UMD cartridge in favor of the PlayStation Store-only access. The new idea has already met its first bump in the road, as the PSP Go version of Little Big Planet has had to be delayed for a week, while the PSP-3000 had access to it from the very beginning.

The PlayStation Store faced some difficulties in delivering the game and the distribution had to be put on hold. Sony, as well as Media Molecule, the developers of Little Big Planet, put their heads together and tried to figure out as quickly as possible what was causing the hiccup on the PS Store.

After a week of retail exclusivity for the PSP and its UMD cartridge, the PSP Go will finally get its hands on the “sackboy” wonder, as the glitch has been fixed. Today, the title was put back up on Sony's online distribution service and is eagerly waiting its new owners, licking the glass of your PSP Go display like a frantic puppy in the pet store.

The week-long brainstorm for Media Molecule and Sony ended up with more than just a solution for the PSP Go release. Along with the digital distribution of the game, an update has also been made available. The patch will improve “performance of some of the physics and tools in the Create mode,” and, since a patch is something you're not used to getting on your handheld, then a little guide will come in as more than helpful.

To apply the update, you'll have to select the Little Big planet icon on your XrossMediaBar, press the triangle button and then select the 'update' function. Not as intricate as some might have expected, but, unfortunately, enough to catch some of the users off guard.
