While there are plenty of people out there who simply love cats (feline friends or overlords, whichever the case might be), cleaning after them is not always a pleasant task, and that's exactly the reason why a company called Automated Pet Care Products introduced the Litter-Robot.

Although one might think that this thing is actually a roomba-looking device that cleans after one's cat, the truth is actually quite different, since the Litter-Robot is actually a full-sized litter box that changes its contents automatically.

What's interesting to note, though, is that the Litter-Robot works in a very simple and seamless well, without scaring one's pet or making a mess.

So, at around seven minutes after the litter box has been used, the device rotates automatically, its proprietary litter sifting process separating the waste from the litter and depositing it into a large waste drawer lined with a plastic bag.

After this step is done, the cat will be able to enjoy a clean bed of litter, while users will be able to simply collect the waste and dispose of it.

Plus, beside eliminating the need to scoop the litter manually, the Litter-Robot even helps save litter, the cat's owners apparently saving up to 50 percent on litter.

"The Litter-Robot is unique in that it saves owners both time and money, something we’re all trying to do,” said Brad Baxter, president of Automated Pet Care Products, who also added that “best of all, by completely eliminating this household chore, it gives owners the time and freedom to do other things or even take a weekend trip without worrying about the litter box.”

The Litter-Robot is retails across the US for around $329 - $349 (including shipping costs), which, as far as we're concerned, is actually a very good price point, given just how useful it might prove to be for all cat owners out there.
