Listen: Rihanna “Diamonds”

As promised a couple of days ago, Rihanna has been working on new music all this time we thought she was taking a year off recording. Her first single off her upcoming, untitled (as of yet) album, “Diamonds,” is now out.

Described by the singer herself as “hippy and happy,” “Diamonds” plays it safe on the theme of love. Unlike other Rihanna releases, this doesn’t leave any room for controversy and possible interpretations.

“Find light in the beautiful sea / I choose to be happy / You and I, you and I / We're like diamonds in the sky,” the first verse goes.

“Diamonds” is not a club-banger but, by all counts, it could very well serve as a dance track.
