Amy Winehouse's fans have reason to rejoice today: two of them actually. After the release of “Like Smoke,” a first song off the upcoming album “Lioness: Hidden Treasure,” a new song has emerged.

Whereas “Like Smoke” is a collaboration with longtime friend Nas, “Our Day Will Come” is a solo effort – and a brilliant one, while at it.

It shows a somewhat more playful, optimistic side of Amy, she who was so comfortable with pain that she could transmit it to her listener with just a few notes – and move them to tears in a heartbeat.

The song was recorded in May 2002 and it's a reggae re-working of the '60s Doo Wop song. It premiered on Radio 1, during the breakfast show.

Chris Moyles introduced it by saying that, by listening it, fans will become super-fans but, at the same time, they will also feel immense regret at having lost such a wonderful artist.

“I think if you're an Amy Winehouse fan, it's going to be a bit of a tear-jerker... When you hear her sing now, I think you hear it differently,” Moyles said.

Check out “Our Day Will Come” below and make yourself heard in the comments section below on how you feel about it.

Love Amy. Such a shame she's gone, but brilliant to have some more of her music to look forward to.

Beautiful voice & re-mix of song I remember hearing as a kid! From an old person that appreciates the extraordinary talent that was Miss Winehouse, bless you young genius.
Thank you for the music.

Poor Amy - must have been very deeply scared to decide, leaving this world so early. When I hear her version of " Our Day Will Come " it touches me very much.
Now she brings some good vibes to heaven !!

Beautiful song, beautifully done by Amy.
The December 2011 CD is really much better than I expected - since the reviewers have been giving it a luke warm rating. The CD shows her great talent and the diversity of her songs.
